Pretty and Prim

I have been making dolls this past week. I just couldn't resist Miss Milly, from Rosalie Quinlan's new book ''Gift''. This is one of the most gorgeous books I have seen, every single project is a ''must make''.

Also, meet Tilly, Milly and Molly - these little creatures are adorable - one of Kerry Gillespie's patterns (http://www.myfavoritethings.com.au/).

And nothing to do with sewing at all, but last weekend I went to see the butterflies at the Otago Museum and was completely entranced.

Happy Stitching over the weekend.

Hi Jen - love the dolls you have been working on. What a treat that would have been seeing the butterflies - just love them - the one in the photo you posted is quite stunning. Have just about finished my first block for the Butterfly Garden - the hand applique has been a new skill to learn and am slowly getting the knack of it :) My quilting friends have told me to stop unpicking looking for perfection as with practice will get better and there's certainly lots of applique ahead of me LOL.
